Craig Family Livestock is the direct product of what was once just a simple 4H project. Jason Craig, more info below, spent 14 years in 4H and now owns and operates CFL with both his parents. At CFL we have a Blackface cross flock of about 15 ewes with Rule, Dee brothers, and Wheaton genetics, a Southdown flock of about 15 ewes consisting of Forsee, Maddox, and Circle J genetics, and finally roughly 15 ewes of purebred Katahdins with Prairie Lane genetics. Lisa Craig owns and operates the Boer goat side of things with her son Jason and this consists of about 15 does with genetics from S&R, Hummel, and Miller Boer Goats. CFL is located in Paw Paw, MI and is operated on 40 acres. We also specialize in raising both grass and grain fed meat products for local customers and farmers markets. Get to know Jason: Jason Craig, the youngest son of Ed and Lisa, has spent almost his entire life on the farm in Paw Paw. Now residing in Decatur, MI, Jason has a diverse background in agriculture. Jason's love for agriculture began many years ago when he first starting showing livestock in 4-H. After spending 14 years in a 4-H program, Jason began raising and selling competitive show lambs. He has a flock now of around 40 ewes. Jason is also currently pursuing his almost completed B.S. in Agricultural Business from Fort Hays St. University in Hays, Kansas. At day,  Jason works as a Research Technician for Charles River Labs developing ground breaking and life changing drugs. You can usually find Jason on the farm, cheering on the Penn St football team, or accompanied by his partner in crime, Sawyer, his Australian Shepherd pup. Throughout the Spring and Summer months Jason enjoys traveling the country to judge jackpot, point series, and county fair shows. He has experience judging lambs, goats, and swine.
